Getting to Vienna

Whether by plane or by train, by car or by ship on the Danube, many paths lead to Vienna. You find more detailed information under the point “Arrival“ on our homepage.

How do I get to Vienna from the airport?

Vienna International Airport is about 16 km east of Vienna in Schwechat. The city center can be reached quickly and in comfort by public transport.

CAT (City Airport Train)

This train plies between the airport and “Wien Mitte/Landstraße“. The travel time is 16 minutes and costs 12€. You can buy your CAT ticketonline, at ticket machines and at the Tourist Info at the airport.

Express train S7

This train plies between the airport and Wien Mitte/Landstraße. The travel time is 26 minutes and costs 4,20€. A one way ticket can be purchased at the Tourist Info at the airport and at ticket machines in Vienna and at the airport.

- City Center: This bus stopps at “Moritzplatz/Schwedenplatz“ and the travel time is 20 minutes.

- “Westbahnhof- Vienna Meidling“: This bus stopps at “Vienna Meidling“ and “Westbahnhof“. The travel time is 45 minutes to the “Westbahnhof“

You can purchase tickets at the Tourist Info at the airport and on-board on the bus. A one way ticket costs €8.

Where can i park my car in Vienna?

You can park your car particularly economically at Vienna's Park & Ride facilities.

Parking here costs €3.00 per day. All Park & Ride car parks are located right next to underground stations, so that you can get to the city center quickly and comfortably. Car parks are available in and near the city center for much higher parking fees.

Maybe your hotel has parking facilities but if your hotel does not, just at the reception for an all-day parking permit.

Do I have to take care of the accommodation on my own?

Yes, but here you find a list of hotels and hostels in the center of Vienna. You must reserve your room on your own.

How does the registration process work? Are there any deadlines?

After filling in the registration form on our homepage you receive an e-mail to your declared mail e-mail address. In this mail you find the bank account details for the payment. Please transfer the amount due for payment ASAP. Note: We can only accept and confirm registrations, after the payment has reached us. The deadline for a possible registration is May 22, 2014.

Will there be sightseeing options or extra activities?

During the weekend, there will be a yaried programme for the whole group. However, there will also be a bit of spare time to explore Vienna on your own (do some shopping, visit a museum,...) – and we will also be around the whole weekend to do some exploring with you and others of the group.

Before and after the weekend (should you arrive earlier than Friday/leave later than sunday) we will provide you with further Tipps and information for your stay in Vienna.

Is it possible to change my booked package?

If you have booked one of the three packages, there will not be any possibility to downgrade as we have to make reservations etc. well before the programm starts. However, should you intend to arrive earlier/join more party of the programm, let us know and we will upgrade your package.

Is there a special dresscode?

There is no special dress code at the Charter Weekend. We recommend comfortable clothing for sightseeing. Usually spring in Vienna is warm and sunny, but there can be some rainy days too. Don´t forget to bring some pullovers, solid and rainproof footwear and rain gear with you. And fort he clubbing: dress ti impress ;-)
